Jackson Heights now has the chance to fix this and deal with other environmental issues. One of the most ethnically and economically diverse neighborhoods in New York, Jackson Heights can make itself over as the city's greenest, too. The Green Agenda for Jackson Heights is a project of the Queens Community House the Jackson Heights Beautification Group and its Friends of Travers Park Committee, with professional assistance from the Pratt Center for Community Development, and funding from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
